Directorate-General for Health recommends precautions for heat

The Directorate-General for Health has recommended people take precautions in coming days because of the heat, which in some parts of the country is forecast to reach 37 degrees Celsius.

In a note published today (May 22) on its website, the DGS said the hottest of the weather is forecast as of Sunday (May 24), at the same time, coupled with very high ultraviolet radiation.

It recommends people adopt measures to avoid the worst of the heat, especially children, the elderly, the chronically ill, pregnant women, and the disabled.
