FolkFaro: World Cultures and Rhythms

From the 17th to the 25th of August, Faro’s Dock fills with rhythm and color brought from all over the world, on the 17th edition of the largest foclore festival in southern Portugal.

 

The ten participating countries were selected from over one hundred proposals received by the organization. Among them are Argentina, Colombia, Slovakia, Spain, Ghana, Japan, Turkey, Poland, Mexico, Chile and Taiwan. Five portuguese foclore groups from all over the country, will also make an appearence during this festival. The program also features street animations, dance workshops, and volunteering.

 

FolkFaro is an annual organization of the Faro Folkloric Group, which has the main support of the Municipality of Faro. Entrance is free, as well as participation in other program activities of the folkloric festival.
