Foreign masters students in Portugal up 10% in five years

More than 20 percent of students enrolled in master’s degrees in Portugal in the 2017-2018 academic year were foreigners, according to new data from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES).

This indicates a growth of 10 percentage points in attracting international students in five academic years. The data highlighted the Algarve University as an example, where only four of the the 26 students enrolled in the 2nd cycle master’s degree in Marine and Coastal Systems last year were Portuguese.
