June one of the coldest in Portugal

While June 2019 has been found to be the hottest recorded globally, it was the coolest in 20 years here in Portugal.
According to the Portuguese Met Office, last month was the coldest since the year 2000, and the 13th coolest since records began. Average temperatures were just above 18 degrees Celsiius, 1.2 degrees below averages.
Rainfall met existing averages, except in southern Portugal, where the area affected by drought increased in June.
