Petrol prices rise

The cost of refueling at the nation’s forecourts will this morning suffer its first significant increase since May.
Unleaded fuel is to rise by around two cents a litre, reaching an average cost of 1 euro and 50 cents a litre. Diesel increases by one cent a litre to 1 euro and 33 cents.
These latest increases are being blamed on the rising tensions between the United States and Iran in the Persian Gulf, coupled with a drop in American oil reserves.
