Portugal’s court clerks today start first of five days’ strike

Portugal’s court clerks are today staging the first of five alternating days of strike in protest to a 10 percent supplement being integrated in their salaries.

A protest gathering was due to take place this morning at the Justice Campus in Lisbon.

The officials will be staging a five-day alternating national strike for today and Friday, and July 2, 4 and 12, with courts expected to grind to a halt as minimum services will not be guaranteed.
