A street in the Algarve is set to be named after Sir Bobby Robson. The announcement was made by the Loulé Council, who said a street in Vila Sol in Quarteira will be named after the former Porto and Sporting manager.
A statue of Sir Bobby Robson was unveiled on the Vila Sol golf course a few years ago. The late England manager was also known for his charity work in the Algarve, most notably his support of the Refúgio children’s home in Faro.
